Privacy
Collect less. Explain it plainly.
Nova Scotia Campgrounds uses limited operational data to understand whether the directory works and to process messages people intentionally submit.
Anonymous usage events
We record a small set of actions such as a search being applied, filters being cleared, more results being requested, or an outbound campground link being opened. These events include the page path and broad filter values, but never the words typed into search, your form message, name, or email address.
Feedback submissions
When you send the contact form, we store the fields you choose to provide, a request identifier, and the submission time. A reply email is optional. Cloudflare Turnstile validates the request to prevent automated abuse without adding a raw IP address or browser user-agent to the feedback record.
Retention
Feedback submissions may be kept for up to 12 months so we can verify corrections, prevent duplicate or abusive requests, and follow up. Raw interaction events are retained for up to 90 days; aggregated counts may be kept longer because they are not intended to identify a person. Cloudflare may retain platform security and request logs according to the account settings in effect at the time.
Service providers
The site, form endpoint, bot protection, and monitoring run on Cloudflare. Opening a campground, booking, map, email, phone, or primary-source link takes you to another provider with its own privacy practices.
Your choices
You can use the directory without submitting the form. Do not include sensitive personal information. To request access to or deletion of a feedback submission, use the form and include its request identifier if you have it.
